So.. I haven't blogged in a while. I bought those stocks.. things were going well.. and then all i did was make mistake after mistake and my overall stock $ amount dropped real far. I invested a bunch in C Citigroup. But i didn't do any research... and only now has it started to perform. what's lame, is that all the stocks i was in doubled. but I got out when they halved.

@ work

I got assigned to a new group at work. It makes me reconsider staying at Boeing. The place I'd work looks as dull as gray. I don't like the person setting up the group. Its supposed to be a step up.. but it feels like a trap. I have had a bad attitude all day because of it.

I am buying up stuff to try and do some comic book art. I priced some scanners and they give a discount if you buy a laptop too.. so.. yeah. i don't really want to spend a ton of money on it.

turned a corner

looks like the DOW hit a temporary low of 7995. That brought my stock down.. to about 10% below what I bought at.. from previous results that should take one or two weeks to recover. I wish I woulda bought in sections, instead of jumping all in.

I am home. I should be out somewhere. I should be working on my goals. I should be hanging out with friends. I am like a deer in the headlights right now.

Would Coulda Shoulda

Goal 2 is to make 5% per month on stocks.. so I went "all in" today.. and boy.. i took too big a bite.. now I'm underwater on them. Wish I woulda stuck to the plan. Course you can never know whats next.. but you can plan for some variation. I was just getting sick of going in 20%.. getting 5%.. and doing that over and over.. like whats the point? why don't i go in 100% and earn the 5% I'm going for? anyway.. It may be a week or two before I get out of this mess.

Resolutions

Been thinking of new years resolutions. Not sure what to do. I could shoot for the moon, or for something easy. I don't remember what I tried for last year, if anything.

I'm going to modify this list as I go. This is my master list.

1-Earn Level 3 at work.
a)be on time (6am)
i)Ride the 5AM bus and do email and stocks and FB etc on blackberry
A)read books
b)have the discussion about whats expected.
i)overtime looks good and probably will earn more extra than i can with stocks.
2-Earn 5% (or more) per month in stock market.
a)without checking the stock market on my work computer.
b)need my blackberry to be web capable then.
i)because many lows and highs happen mid day and,
w/alerts i could buy at the best point.
ii)this'd be good for personal email and etc;
also not allowed on work computer.
3-Get a new habit
a)morning routine
b)work routine
c)after work routine
i)Go downtown use a new laptop computer to do personal projects.. write book, 3D modeling.. do it in public.. at coffee shops etc.. to be more social. then go to Yoga or the gym or exercise for at least an hour. also dinner-out
d)evening routine
f)weekend routine
4-make a (music) video - post on youtube.
a)I have TASCAM DR1 for audio recording.
i)could benefit from windproof microphone or windproof cover for device.
b)I have NIKON COOLPIX camera that can do some video.
i)will the Microzoom record video or intermittent pics of fungus, etc?
5-sell something on ebay and on craigslist [action]
a)how about those 3 sofa chairs
6-make some awesome stuff ["work on your approach"]
a)make a comic - professionally color it - send it by Matt Armstrong for review
b)get my cars to awesome. work to the lists.
c)write a love song
d)get better at the guitar
7-throw away most of my junk - minimize clutter in my room, storage.
a)take pictures of it and
b)sell it on ebay or on craigslist or
c)take it to DI then
d)throw away the rest
z)consider what emotional clutter obstructs me. root it out.
8-collaborate with friends and family on projects

not a big talker

Did you ever want to talk to somebody, and you could tell they didn't really want to talk to you? I wish they wanted to talk to me.

I guess there's nothing I can do. I just keep sending messages now and then and calling now and then.. and sometimes I get responses... but its about 2 to 1. Therefore I worry. So, I guess I'll just forget about it.. time will pass, and maybe they'll miss me.

Whatever I do, I can't bring it up to them... like.."are you ignoring me?" Thats how it feels.. and I know where that conversation leads. to nowhere.. and thats where I already am.

got the Audi. still not licensed. apparently personalized plates are a bad idea.. I wanted ALIEN.. which I had in college.. but its taken. then I was thinking SUP3R for the Audi and Z3RO for the Honda.. but, then again.. I have too much time..

maybe i'll tell some people that I'm writing crap down somewhere. maybe I'll wait.

getting a newer car

always at least 10 years behind when it comes to vehicles.. I am getting a new (to me) 1998 Audi A4. I have been looking for aftermarket Cold Air Intakes for it and can't find any. There is a K&N intake (which is different than a cold air intake) for it.. but it doesn't have much of a curve in the tube.. so its not a good candidate to show off the Lotus Process.. www.lotusprocess.com

and another thing - is the car I bought a Turbo? haha.. I am stoked that its got the largest engine option. But, what if its a turbo? what does that mean? is it going to be awesome or is it going to be a pain? I'm kinda stoked.
